Mike Carter Field - Home of the Apaches
(back to Front Page)
Mike Carter Field is one of the premier amateur baseball facilities in Texas.  Renovation of the field began in
1992 and more than $2 million was raised and invested in providing an outstanding playing surface, state of the
art scoreboard, AA level lighting, 3 full length turfed hitting cages, locker, shower and laudry room facilities, and
seating for 4,000.   MCF is part of the Rose City Complex, along with the Tyler Rose Garden, Harvey
Convention Center, Trinity-Mother Frances Rose Stadium and The East Texas Fairgrounds (
see link to map
below
).  It has been host to the USA Junior National Team, the Canadian and Australian Junior National Teams,
NJCAA Regional Playoffs, the Texas-New Mexico Junior College All-Star Games, and is favorite host of high
school playoff games every spring.  MCF is home for the Apaches during the fall and spring seasons and
provides a quality baseball environment to practice and compete on that is difficult to match anywhere at any
level.
